CenturyLink and Jim Ousley have agreed to a one-year contract extension for him to continue serving as CEO of the cloud computing subsidiary Savvis, the St. Louis Business Journal reports.

Citing a Securities and Exchange Commission filing, Diana Barr writes the new contract went into effect Jan. 1 and was entered Jan. 8.

Ousley also serves as president of CenturyLink’s enterprise markets group, a position he assumed as part of CenturyLink’s realigning of its government and business customer segments.

CenturyLink acquired Savvis in July 2011 in an effort to combine hosting and network assets with Savvis' portfolio, which includes colocation and managed services offerings.
