CGI Group Inc. has won a potential three-year, $18 million contract to help a California county update its legacy financial, budgeting and procurement systems.
The company said it will both implement and maintain its Advantage enterprise resource planning software for Ventura County to use in budgeting functions and managing grants.
“We are pleased to help the County of Ventura take this huge step forward with the ERP modernization they have desired for some time,“ said Daniel Keene, vice president of the Advantage program. “CGI is in the business of satisfying clients.”
The company has worked with the county for 17 years.
According to CGI, Advantage contains automated system processes for both productivity and responding to citizens.
“After a rigorous evaluation of more than 40 vendors, it was clear that CGI Advantage ERP remains the best fit for the County of Ventura with the most built-for-government functionality,“ said Christine Cohen, the county’s auditor-controller.
