Industry trade group TechAmerica has elected Maryann Hirsch, president of Knowledge Consulting Group, to TechAmerica’s public sector board of directors, KCG said Monday.

Her term is for two years on the board, which oversees the public sector group’s activities and focuses on federal programs.

Hirsch, a 23-year government technology industry veteran, is responsible for KCG’s day-to-day operations and leads short- and long-term planning efforts supporting business goals.

Before joining KCG, she held positions at Sysorex Information Systems and Federal Sources, now known as Deltek.

“I am honored to have been elected to serve on its board of directors and look forward to leveraging my time and expertise for the betterment of the organization and the government IT community,” Hirsch said.
