NetApp‘s U.S. public sector cyber alliance program has added cybersecurity and information technology solutions provider Merlin International, according to a Merlin statement.

“Our storage lies at the heart of many large technology environments, and we are proud to add the ability to defend them from cyberattack or misuse,“ said Mark Weber, NetApp president of U.S. Public Sector.

The NetApp cyber alliance is a collaborative program that works to develop end-to-end solutions to improve network, cloud, application and data security to help organizations mitigate and respond to cyber threats.

The program also establishes partnerships and interoperability of cyber solutions based on NetApp storage, virtualization and big data technologies.

“The NetApp Cyber Alliance embraces that (dedication to innovation) philosophy, and we're proud to be part of a program focused on solving complex challenges, enhancing value and exploring new ideas in security,“ said Monty Deel, Merlin president.

Vienna, Va.-based Merlin will utilize its innovation lab for testing and solution development, including optimization with NetApp storage systems.
