Gartner has named Oracle to the market research firm’s Leaders Quadrant for 2012 in the integrated revenue and customer management categories for communications service providers, Oracle said Wednesday.
According to Oracle, Gartner selects the quadrant’s members based on having a complete vision and execution of that vision.
Gartner includes billing, customer care, rating, charging, mediation and policy management as functions within integrated revenue and customer management.
“With the growth of over-the-top and third-party content providers, traditional CSPs need innovative billing and policy management solutions as well as tools to support a differentiated customer experience to continue to attract and retain new customers and grow their business,” said Bhaskar Gorti, Oracle’s senior vice president and general manager for communications.
In its report, Gartner said it evaluated the completeness of vision on a company’s communication of its current and future market direction, innovation, customer needs and drivers of competition.
For execution, Gartner graded the company’s processes, systems, methods and procedures that keep the company competitive.
