Salient Federal Solutions Inc. has won a $17 million systems support, maintenance and development contract to support the U.S. Office of Personnel Management's benefits systems division, according to a company statement.
“This work is significant to Salient, where we have been supporting the benefits systems mission since 2000,“ said Salient CEO Brad Antle.
He added that the company is proud to bring its support behind the critical systems and is excited to work with the agency for the next several years.
Salient is responsible for providing full life-cycle software application services-related operations, maintenance and enhancement for the OPM's retirement, healthcare, insurance and related benefits systems.
According to the release, the contract includes one base year and three one-year option periods.
The OPM's benefits systems stores data for more than 2.4 million annuitants and 8 million federal employees.
Salient maintains more than 50 OPM systems that process more than $5 billion per month of financial transactions in support of retirement, healthcare, insurance and related benefits for federal government employees, annuitants and beneficiaries.
