Carahsoft Technology Corp. is aiming to expand its big data solutions portfolio with Optensity’s AppSymphony software, a program intended for Amazon Web Services platforms and private cloud environments.

Carahsoft will market, sell and distribute AppSmphony software to federal, state and local government agencies under its General Services Administration schedule GS-35F-0119Y contract, Carahsoft said Thursday.

AppSymphony is compatible with diverse data sources, structures and hybrid clouds using graphical representations of workflows, creating a venue where decision makers, data scientists, domain experts, software developers and analysts can come together within minutes.

“We are pleased to expand our big data solutions portfolio with Optensity and to add the company’s innovative AppSymphony product to our GSA schedule,” said Michael Shrader, Carahsoft vice president of innovative and intelligence solutions.

Shrader added Optensity’s software is intended to help enterprises manage investments in big data, high-performance computing, cloud and analytics and make decisions.

Pamela Arya, Optensity co-founder and CEO, said the companies are aiming to help enterprises deploy new business intelligence analytics.
