Cubic Defense Applications and Injazat Data Systems have signed a manpower support agreement to support the operation and maintenance of Cubic's computer-based training simulation systems in the United Arab Emirates, according to an AME info article.
“Cubic's vision is to establish an effective local presence from which we will leverage our capabilities to best support the UAE's needs,“ said Peter Turpie, managing director of Cubic Middle East.
“Injazat shares this vision and we very much look forward to a successful, wide ranging and long-term partnership with them,“ he added.
Injazat will send personnel to support Cubic's EST 2000 marksmanship system that is currently part of the indoor training systems program for several UAE government institutions.
The Cubic system is the only virtual skills training system validated by the US Army.
Injazat announced its agreement with Cubic at the International Defense Exhibition 2013 held Feb. 17-21.
“Defense is an important aspect of national development, which is why Injazat has been building up its capabilities in this field,“ said Ibrahim Lari, Injazat CEO.
Injazat and Cubic have also agreed to jointly pursue potential areas of collaboration in the UAE, Qatar, Oman and other markets in the Middle East.
