
DLT Solutions now offers Amazon Web Services cloud products on its contract vehicles for federal, state and local government customers.
The new offerings include the AWS GovCloud Region, a cloud platform aimed at addressing compliance requirements such as International Traffic in Arms Regulations, DLT Solutions said Tuesday.
ITAR mandates that only U.S. citizens can systems and defense-related data stored in a cloud environment.
Agency-specific contracts with the AWS option include the National Institutes of Health Electronic Commodity Store III, the National Cooperative Purchasing Alliance and the General Services Administration‘s Information Technology Schedule 70 vehicle.
DLT recently won a contract extension for GSA IT Schedule 70 through March 2017.
Teresa Carlson, vice president of worldwide public sector for Amazon Web Services, said the company aims to help agencies reduce the time needed to acquire, develope and manage IT resources.
David Blankenhorn, DLT chief cloud technologist, said AWS brings both infrastructure- and platform-as-a-service offerings to its clients.

Blankenhorn heads the DLT Cloud Advisory Group, which advises customers on how cloud computing technology can work with their enterprises.
