HP Moving Medicaid Info System To Data Center; Susan Arthur Comments - top government contractors - best government contracting event

HP - ExecutiveBizHP Enterprise Services has won a $48 million contract to continue acting as Vermont’s Medicaid fiscal agent and provide services intended to help the state achieve its healthcare reform goals.

The company will relocate the state’s current Medicaid Management Information System to a new HP data center and update call-center technology under the new four-year contract, HP said Wednesday.

Vermont will also expand its use of HP’s Medical Assistance Provider Incentive Repository tool to track incentive payments to providers and HP will update the current system to comply with ICD-10 regulations under of HIPAA national standards.

“Vermont needed to be prepared for and adapt to a nationwide healthcare transformation,“ said Susan Arthur, vice president for the U.S. health and life sciences industry at HP Enterprise Services.

This award extends the 31-year relationship between HP and Vermont for the Medicaid program.

HP will continue to help Vermont process claims and drug rebates, manage finances, maintain and modify systems and provide services for enrollment, education and call center support.
