According to a company statement, the new corporate presence will help strengthen customer relationships as the company develops domestic and international opportunities meant to create value for the company’s Canadian customers.
Lockheed also announced that a CEO will soon be named to lead the office. The executive will focus on business development and government relations.
The structure and organization of the Ottowa office will be coordinated with Lockheed Martin Canada and the new staff is expected to help ensure the support of Canadian government customers.

The office will also act as a single point of accountability for the company with direct access to every business unit.
This direct line of contact with the organization is meant to coordinate the activities of different Lockheed entities in expanding relationships and opportunities with Canadian industrial partners.
