Rene LaVigne, president and CEO of Iron Bow Technologies, has been selected to receive a Washington Business Journal award for business leadership, success and community involvement.

LaVigne will receive the Minority Business Leader award March 21 at the Business Journal’s sixth annual awards ceremony in Washington along with 24 other awardees, the company said Wednesday.

“I am honored to receive this recognition for my efforts throughout our communities and in the industry,“ LaVigne said.

“It is due, in great part, to the support of the exceptional team at Iron Bow, that I am positioned to make the various contributions with my time and to have achieved the noted success with the company,” he added.

Iron Bow says the Minority Business Leader awards honor minority business leaders and owners in the Washington region whose companies perform well over a 12-to-18 month period.

The Business Journal also selects awardees for leadership outside their jobs and serving in industry associations or community organizations.
