Ciber has teamed up with Ohio University to develop an information system intended to give students, faculty and staff access to school services in a secure environment.
Under the Rufus Initiative, Ciber deployed senior consultants to upgrade the school’s applications and hardware for securing student information, the company said Thursday.
The company combined Oracle’s PeopleSoft campus and business intelligence platforms with other applications to manage workflow, processes and Web-based services for students, faculty and staff located across six campuses.
More than 28,000 students attend the university, according to Ciber.
Ohio University selected Oracle“™s business intelligence products for decision making after the school assessed its needs through a fit and gap analysis.
Ciber will also help Ohio University create a service-oriented architecture roadmap to manage institution-wide information.
