Dave McGlade, CEO of Intelsat and deputy chairman of the board, has been elected chairman in a series of executive appointments at the company.
McGlade’s appointment as chairman takes effect April 1, the same date that General Counsel Phillip Spector will join the board, Intelsat said Monday.
Stephen Spengler, former executive vice president of sales, marketing and strategy, has been appointed president and chief commercial officer, effective March 18.
He will add business development to his other duties such as corporate strategy, product innovation, global sales, government sales, marketing, product development and corporation communications.
Michael McDonnell, EVP and chief financial officer, will also add corporate development to his responsibilities.
Michelle Bryan has been appointed EVP, general counsel and chief administrative officer, effective Mar. 18 and she will continue to oversee human resources and corporate services.
Thierry Guillemin, currently senior VP and chief technical officer, was promoted to EVP and chief technical officer.
His responsibilities include satellite operations, spacecraft development and acquisition and network and teleport operations.
