Deloitte Consulting and Intermountain Healthcare have forged a five-year alliance to share healthcare analytics and provide related insights to healthcare systems and companies, Becker's Hospital Review reported March 5.
Peter Emerson, a Deloitte principal, told the publication that the alliance is part of a hybrid strategy that seeks to expand Deloitte’s business lines into healthcare data warehousing, analytics and insights.
“When I look at the landscape of folks trying to solve [healthcare] problems“¦none of them are solved by a tech solution alone,” Emerson told Becker’s at a conference in News Orleans.
“You really need this hybrid combination to combine the technology and consulting piece and in the middle are the core partners [through the consortium] that will help inform and shape the insights needed.”
Emerson joined Deloitte in November after it acquired healthcare data and analytics specialist Recombinant Data Corp., where he served as president.
