Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has unveiled a redesigned news feed intended to give users an interface he termed a personalized newspaper, Information Week reports.
Zuckerberg said the social networking site is also aiming to open new opportunities to offer different kinds of ads as well, Thomas Claburn writes.
Chris Cox, Facebook vice president of products, added that the new design is intended to make users’ content more prominent, according to the report.
The new design will feature new feeds that will complement the existing news feed, such as a feed for photos, music, and other types of following feeds, Claburn writes.
Claburn writes the new design will start rolling out on Thursday and mobile versions will start in a few weeks.
