The CSIS released the “Realizing the Potential of U.S. Unconventional Natural Gas” report Thursday and SAIC thought leaders contributed to the project, the company said Thursday.
Report authors worked with regulators, policymakers, environmental, industry and financial groups, academics and community stakeholders as it aimed to outline unconventional gas development and develop themes and findings.
According to SAIC, the CSIS wants to facilitate a discussion on the future of shale gas.
“Things are moving fast in the energy arena,” said Joe Craver, president of the health and engineering sector.
“By taking the time to think, listen, and discuss these important issues, we will be ready to solve the challenges facing us and won’t miss the opportunities that unconventional gas can provide our country’s economy and our security,” he added.
