Lockheed Martin and Microsoft have finished migrating the Environmental Protection Agency to a Microsoft Office 365 collaboration and communication cloud infrastructure.

More than 22,000 EPA email users are in the Office 365 for Government cloud environment, which contains email, calendars, scheduling and collaboration tools for internal and external use, the company said Thursday.

Under a four-year contract, Lockheed will also provide engineering and ongoing integration services for the segregated community cloud.

Stephanie Hill, president of Lockheed’s information systems and global solutions-civil product line, said the project continues the company’s 35-year information technology relationship with the EPA.

“Our partnership with Lockheed Martin in bringing Microsoft Office 365 to the EPA generated a level of excitement amongst our employees that has been unmatched,“ said Malcolm Jackson, EPA assistant administrator for the office of environmental information and chief information officer.
