centurylink logoA CenturyLink subsidiary has launched an online portal to help customers connect with other businesses across its data centers and help them pursue growth opportunities.

Savvis' ClientConnect aims to help clients such as financial and health services firms interconnect and share offerings with other Savvis customers from its data centers worldwide, CenturyLink said Tuesday.

Drew Leonard, Savvis vice president of co-location product management, said the subsidiary is aiming to help retailers looking for e-commerce services and trading firms looking to access financial exchanges, among other potential clients.

Clients locate target businesses through a search engine, where they can enter both the type and name of customers.

The SavvisStation portal tool also includes profile pages, contact information of customers, overview on interconnectivity opportunities and a client-to-client cross-connect service designed to complete individual orders in 48 hours.

“In today’s competitive economy, companies must focus technology resources on the areas that drive the most business value,” said Joel Odelson, Morpho Detection chief information officer.
