TheNewNewInternet Upgrades, Remains At GovCon Tech's Forefront

TNNILogoTheNewNewInternet is now the third site in Executive Mosaic‘s umbrella of GovCon media properties to upgrade its look and feel but its core mission remains to stay ahead of the latest technological developments in the industry.

Readers will find a new banner across the top featuring EM’s other media properties, allowing for a full-spectrum view of the industry’s business-, technology- and executive-oriented events.

On the right side of the site’s page, buttons will take the readers to social media platforms for sharing stories and following “TNNI,” the site’s affectionate nickname used by readers and EM staffers.

Every weekday at 4 p.m. Eastern time, those that enter their email address into the field below the social media buttons will receive a daily digest of the most important stories and developments in the technology space.

Additionally, TNNI posts YouTube videos of important executive remarks and other commentary as it relates to technology, as well as videos of weapons tests conducted by some of the industry’s largest companies.

Cloud and big data continue to be dominant coverage areas for TNNI, as well as cybersecurity and mobility.

Within the cyber space, the Department of Homeland Security is signing up contractors to participate in a voluntary information sharing program intended to help protect both the nation’s critical infrastructure and defense industrial base.

Raytheon announced in early March that it signed up for the Enhanced Cybersecurity Services program, joining other firms such as AT&T, CenturyLink, and Lockheed Martin.

GovCon’s mobility market spans new applications, devices and other services aimed to bring functions to handheld technologies.

HP Enterprise Services developed an app for the Department of Housing and Urban Development that aims to connect citizens with HUD’s office of fair housing and equal opportunity.

The Housing Discrimination Complaint Application intends to provide mobile users information on housing discrimination and regional contact information.

TNNI continued its coverage of the big data segment with the news of Accenture and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology forging a team that will aim to bring new analytics technologies to government entities.

Projects under the partnership will include event monitoring, behavior data integration and social media monitoring.

Verizon scored a contract win with the U.S. Agriculture Department, where the company will deploy a cloud infrastructure to 34 USDA entities under a blanket purchase agreement.

The company’s Enterprise Cloud: Federal Edition platform aims to help agencies comply with governmentwide security mandates.
