Accenture has signed an agreement with a commercial bank to form a jointly-owned entity that will be responsible for updating the bank’s invoice management processes.
UniCredit, which is present in 22 European countries, signed the agreement as part of a program initially launched in November 2011 to transform its operations by combining its technology assets with other international companies, Accenture said Tuesday.
Accenture will manage the joint entity, named Accenture Back Office and Administration Services S.p.A., which aims to combine UniCredit’s invoice management professionals with Accenture’s finance and accounting, management consulting and information technology offerings.
“This project represents a key initiative in our longstanding collaboration with UniCredit,” said Roberto Pagella, managing director of Accenture’s business process outsourcing services in Italy, Greece, Turkey and Eastern Europe.
