Compusearch Software Systems has won a $4 million contract to install a web-based acquisition management system for the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority“™s new contract lifecycle management system.

WMATA will switch to PRISM, a commercial-off-the-shelf program intended to operate with the agency’s Oracle PeopleSoft-based financial management system, Compusearch said Thursday.

The agency wants to use PRISM to manage its acquisition workforce and other users of the contract lifecycle management system, Compusearch said.

Compusearch will also aim to integrate PRISM with the agency’s existing business systems built by Comter Systems, said Compusearch CEO Reid Jackson.

“Compusearch has a 30-year history providing COTS acquisition software and systems integration services to help public sector procurement organizations implement, operate and maintain end-to-end contract writing and contract management solutions,“ Jackson said.

The contract is part of WMATA“™s $5 billion investment in Metro Forward, a project that includes new rail cars and buses, escalator overhauls, new technology and new track.

Stakeholders from the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia and federal agencies such as Federal Transit Administration have funded the project.

WMATA has also laid out a $26 billion in capital for Momentum, a three-decade strategic plan.
