Dell_LogoA military supply plant in Russia has deployed Dell‘s Compellent storage infrastructure in its data center to help process customer orders and manage information technology productivity.

The company provided the storage products to the Kupol Izhevsk electromechanical plant under a partnership with Russian systems integrator CTI, Dell Russia said April 23.

Compellent storage arrays are designed to automatically move, store and manage corporate data so the plant’s IT personnel can focus on strategic projects, according to Dell Russia.

“We are honoured to support such companies such as Kupol with our storage solutions that will play a key part in the overall optimization of their manufacturing process,“ said Anton Banchukov, field product marketing manager for Dell Russia’s enterprise storage and server solutions.

Kupol has cut its power consumption by 50 percent and maintenance costs by 10 percent.

The Compellent products reduced data processing time by 27 percent and delivers applications 20 percent faster than the plant’s previous systems, the company said.
