Executive Profile: Shawn Purvis, Northrop Grumman Integrated Intell Systems VP

PurvisShawn Purvis serves as vice president of the Integrated Intelligence Systems business unit for Northrop Grumman's intelligence systems division, where she is responsible for all aspects of the unit's business, including strategy, growth, customer relationships and program execution.

Prior to joining Northrop, Purvis held positions of increasing scope and responsibility with SAIC. Most recently, she served as senior vice president of SAIC's processing exploitation and dissemination operation in the intelligence systems business unit, where she was responsible for managing all aspects of this $300-million, 800-person business.

NorthropLogoDuring her tenure at SAIC, Purvis led complex software and system programs. She also gained leadership experience with intelligence systems development and sustainment, integrated intelligence collection and analysis, information management, dissemination and provisioning of timely and relevant information and direct operational support of national and defense integrated intelligence requirements.

Prior to her career at SAIC, she worked at Lockheed Martin as senior systems engineer, supporting infrastructure, web and systems development. She graduated from Lockheed's Engineer Leadership Development Program (ELDP).

Purvis has a bachelor's degree in computer science from Hampton University and a master's degree in information systems from George Mason University. She earned her program management certification and graduated from The Executive Program at UVA's Darden Business School.
