GE Internet Router Targeted to Oil, Gas Industries

GELogoGeneral Electric has released a new industrial Internet router intended to secure wireless access on private networks owned by companies in industries such as oil and gas.

GE’s MCR-4G is an industrial router will use public cellular infrastructures for data collection between disparate sources and operation centers, Manufacturing.net reports.

Based on the MDS Orbit platform, the MCR-4G is built to provide users industrial-grade video surveillance, ethernet, a WiFi radio, AES 128 encryption and a Verizon 4G LTE modem.
