McAfee has expanded its systems security portfolio to include identity and access management solutions designed to help organizations manage cloud-based applications while maintaining business agility.
The new solutions are part of McAfee’s security connected framework, which integrates security products and services to protect businesses from advanced cyber attacks, according to a company statement.
“There is a huge shift underway to extend enterprise-class security to cloud-based applications and services while also consolidating security onto just a few key platforms,“ said Pat Calhoun, senior vice president and general manager of McAfee’s network security.
“McAfee is not trying to “˜boil the ocean,“™ instead we are focusing on several identity-related “˜hot spots“™ and investing to help our customers and partners solve critical challenges and maintain business continuity and agility,“ he added.
One solution offers a one-time password to PC and mobile devices, while another enables single sign-on for numerous cloud applications.
McAfee said it has launched a center of expertise staffed by identity and cloud security professionals who will assist users in solving issues such as best practices and architecture requirements.
