McAfee is joining the National Institute of Standards and Technology cybersecurity center of excellence center, according to a company statement.
McAfee is signing a memorandum of understanding today with the National Cybersecurity of Center of Excellence as a charter member.
McAfee government relations vice president Tom Gann said, “The collaborative work of the National Cybersecurity Excellence Partnership will benefit important national initiatives such as e-health and e-learning along with improving the security of the nation's businesses.”
Every attacker, every would-be cyber thief or terrorist is looking for loopholes and weaknesses in our cyber defenses. Seamless security ““ a continuum of secure systems, no matter who makes or services them ““ is our goal. The Center's goal of interoperability is an important step towards that,“ he added.
The state of Maryland and Montgomery County are also collaborating for the center.
