A Salient Federal Solutions subsidiary has developed two new cyber security solutions that build on the Assure6 family of products designed to detect and fend off IPv6 attacks through the IPv4 traditional network.
Salient Commercial Solutions built the Assure6/4000 to use CloudShield‘s packet processing technology on CS4000 and the Assure6/2000 for packet processing technology on CS2000, Salient said Monday.
The company aims to help commercial and government customers switch to bandwidths of 10 gigabytes per second over the next 18 months and protect their networks from threats that bypass security tools designed for 1-gigabyte-per-second bandwitdths.
“IPv6 vulnerabilities continue to be a stealth threat, going unmonitored and undetected,” said Bob Friedenberg, Salient chief technology officer.
Friedenberg said Assure6 on CloudShield aims to help secure transmission of information in any traffic type and volume to mitigate customers“™ exposure to risks.
Assure6/2000 provides users features to manage policies and view events, Salient said.
The Assure6 platform also aims to block covert IPv6 communications through IPv4 channels as customers move from IPv4 to IPv6, the company added.
