Smartronix has won a contract from a blanket purchase agreement and an initial task order to continue providing web hosting services to the U.S. Treasury Department for a cloud computing environment.
The company will continue to host the Treasury’s cloud, manage and deliver content and provide security and service desk support to the department under the Federal Information Security Management Act, Smartronix said Monday.
Smartronix will also aim to grow the department’s amount of web properties based in the cloud and implement new properties into the Treasury’s community cloud.
Joseph Gerczak, Smartronix executive vice president and chief financial officer, said the company aims to provide the Treasury a secure and scalable cloud environment.
Amazon, Microsoft, Synteractive, CoreSphere and TMP Government partnered with Smartronix for that project.
