Boeing led all other contractors in winning contract awards from the U.S. Air Force during fiscal year 2012, totaling 23 percent of the branch’s $69.78 billion in awards, a survey from advisory firm The Silverline Group LLC says.
According to the Washington Business Journal, Silverline also found that Lockheed Martin owns the largest percentage of Navy contract awards at 12 percent and is tied with General Dynamics for the largest share of Army contract awards at 5 percent.
Jill Aitoro writes Lockheed took in the year’s second-largest amount of Air Force contract awards at 13 percent.
Nearly $6 billion of Boeing’s total $16.39 billion in Air Force contract awards covered work at the branch’s life cycle management centers, Aitoro writes.
