Accenture Services Ltd has signed a memorandum of understanding with India's state of Odisha to engineer mobile applications intended to help the state seek business opportunities in information technology and IT enabled services, according to a Business Standard article.
The publication reports State IT Secretary M S Padhi and Accenture Services' managing director Krishna Giri inked the memorandum, which allows the company to help the state develop skills.
“We are happy to collaborate with the state government for citizen centric e-governance applications. The company looks forward to leverage technology for service delivery,“ said Abinash Basisth, chairman of Accenture Services.
Accenture Services and the Odisha government intend to forge policies, research on innovation and technology, promote skills, outsource and manage solutions through the apps, Business Standard reported.
Accenture also plans to build a technology resource center for the state.
