Accenture Engineers Salesforce-Based Collaboration Platform; Marc Mathieu Comments

AccentureLogoAccenture has developed new digital platform intended to help Unilever teams in 190 countries connect with each other and exchange business insights.

The company engineered the Salesforce-based platform to use social networking application Chatter and help Unilever marketers, brand managers and partners share best practices and assets, Accenture said Thursday.

Marc Mathieu, senior vice president for marketing at Unilever, said the social application intends to help Unilever teams establish the company's brands in local markets and reach out to customers.

Built within 12 weeks, the platform is designed to give marketers access to Unilever knowledge, people and tools, as well as facilitate discussions between teams through a central hub.

Accenture's more than 2,100 Salesforce personnel, cloud centers of excellence, software-as-a-service delivery toolkit and cloud application factory collaborated to deploy the digital platform as part of Accenture's end-to-end commercial service.
