Accenture has won a multi-year contract to work with energy firm SSE as the utility seeks to improve marketing campaigns and field service productivity for its retail metering business.
SSE aims to deploy more than 9 million smart meters by 2019 as part of a retail transformation program, Accenture said Tuesday.
Accenture will implement Oracle's Fusion, OBIEE and Siebel applications for marketing teams to measure customer segmentation and adopt targeted campaigns.
The company will also provide Oracle mobile workforce management software to SEE for meter agents to access real-time information and send data electronically.
SSE already has an Accenture-provided meter data management system designed to process billing and settlement data.
