Bae systems logo_ExecutiveBizBAE Systems has entered a memorandum of understanding with lighting solutions provider Emteq to jointly work on BAE's cabin management system.

IntelliCabin is designed to integrate cabin functions so flight crew members can better serve passengers, BAE said Thursday.

The companies aim to market BAE's product in the commercial aircraft original equipment manufacturer and airline interiors modification sectors.

“BAE Systems prides itself on its history of excellence and innovation in high-integrity avionics and controls,” said Dr. Ehtisham Siddiqui, vice president and general manager of BAE’s commercial aircraft solutions.

To date, the company's cabin systems are installed on more than 1,000 Boeing 777 planes and 300 737s outfitted with Boeing Sky Interior.
