The two companies began developing CA infrastructure management 2.2 in October 2012 to enable their joint clients to view and monitor performance, tasks, events, metrics and configuration of their virtual environments, CA said May 22.
CA infrastructure management for enterprises and CA Nimsoft Monitor for MSPs centralize monitoring, isolate and fix problems, as well as predict and prevent system downtime to help minimize operational costs and risk and increase performance, according to CA.
“Together with CA Technologies, we are able to deliver a common solution to enterprise monitoring and manageability that spans both the underlying infrastructure and XenDesktop, leading to faster problem resolution and optimized service delivery,” said Bob Schultz, Group VP and GM of the desktop business at Citrix.
Mike Sargent, general manager for service assurance at CA Technologies, said the updates to CA Infrastructure Management would help address the customers’ mobility and security requirements.
CA Technologies plans to deliver the new capabilities to its channel partners and MSPs with a subscription fee.
