Updates from the company’s software division include those for the KACE K2000 Deployment Appliance, MessageStats Business Insights, Spotlight for SQL and Spotlight Project Lucy, Dell said Thursday.
The upgrades are intended to enable Dell customers minimize risks, reduce costs and step up business outcomes.
“Our goal is to empower Dell customers to do more with their technology investments ─ and get more out of their IT deployments,” said Michael Tweddle, director of product management for Windows management at Dell Software.
Dell’s KACE K2000 appliance extracts the user’s status and restores the model as customers using Microsoft XP migrates to the Windows 8 operating system.
The update also supports native imaging for Windows and Macintosh platforms to enable a multisystem strategy, Dell said.
The new MessageStats has expanded capabilities using Exchange 2013 to help customers prevent data loss, while both Spotlight for SQL server enterprise version 9.5 and Project Lucy enable users to check the health and status of their systems and fix the issues.
