Executive Profile: James Krout III, Sabre Systems COO

KroutJames Krout III serves as chief operating officer at Sabre Systems, Inc. where he provides leadership and guidance in the operations of the business and in the development of strategies, policies and operating plans to meet corporate goals.

He works to manage and sustain the company’s size, growth and composition across all of Sabre’s operations.

Krout joined Sabre in 2008 and came to the company from L-3 Communications, where he held the position of senior vice president and general manager of the ship and aviation engineering business unit under the maritime services sector.

He has also worked for L-3 Communications legacy companies Titan Corp., ACS, Inc and SEMCOR, Inc. where he held such positions as president and general manager, senior vice president of operations, vice president of naval systems division, director of Navy programs and unit manager TACAIR programs. He was also the COO of a small business, Sierra Corp.

Prior to becoming a defense contractor, Krout spent four years in the Navy working in Naval Intelligence.

He holds a Bachelors of Business Administration with a concentration in “Management” (Magna Cum Laude) from American InterContinental University (AIU). He also attended the Keenan Flagler Executive Business School, University of North Carolina, a Senior Executive Development program.
