GDlogoA General Dynamics subsidiary has combined its network security appliance with an IBM security information and event management platform, intending to help organizations protect their assets from cyber threats.

IBMlogoFidelis XPS integrates with IBM QRadar to monitor network traffic and report malicious activities in real-time, General Dynamics Fidelis Cybersecurity Solutions said Monday.

The combined offering intends to help network security analysts collect information, immediately act on threats to prevent data from leaving the network and prevent data breaches on multigigabit system.

“As we continue to help our customers defend their networks from complex, advanced threats, we look to leverage innovative tools and technologies that will work together with our products to combat the most prevalent risk ““ cyber adversaries that are using the network to compromise the enterprise,” said Tom Lyons, vice president of product management at General Dynamics Fidelis Cybersecurity Solutions.

The subsidiary developed Fidelis XPS through its Deep Session Inspection platform to help users identify, examine and control the threat lifecycle.
