Jill Terreri writes 400 hundred cities around the world have applied for a grant through Smarter Cities and 100 cities won, including Buffalo.

The company will donate $400,000 in services to Buffalo and will have Yu Kit Lee, IBM’s chief technologist, and executives from Australia and California travel to Buffalo for the project, according to the report.

Buffalo’s public school system has 6,000 high school students enrolled in career and technology training programs and wants students to have work experience before they graduate, Terreri reports.
