IBM logoIBM has partnered with enterprise content management firm Integritie Ltd. to implement software for Security First Insurance to collect and analyze large claims of disaster victims.

Security First Insurance wants to mine, analyze and forward texts sent via email and social networks containing distress information to appropriate personnel, IBM said Tuesday.

Werner Kruck, Security First Insurance chief operating officer, said the company intends to use the software to prioritize and transmit messages, as well as start recovery processes for customers during disasters.

IBM noted that Security First Insurance typically processes 700 claims per month for damaged assets and up to tens of thousands following a hurricane.

The software is designed to keep records of social media interaction, contents and incoming and outgoing communications in a centralized hub to help Security First Insurance relay certain contents to business processes and help customers recover from losses.
