Jacobs Engineering Group has won a $6 million contract to study hydraulics and develop schematics for a nine-mile roadway and overpass project in central Texas.
The company will be responsible for environmental and preliminary engineering services and coordinating initiatives intended to involve the public in the project, Jacobs said Tuesday.
“This project continues our long relationship with the Mobility Authority,” said Kevin McMahon, a group vice president.
“We are pleased to support their goals to promote sustainability in the development of their transportation projects,” he added.
Jacobs will also assess hydraulics and conduct field surveys for the project.
The project team includes the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority, Texas Transportation Department and a general engineering consultant.
