Lockheed Martin will host an information technology day Wednesday that aims to help professionals and students pursue IT employment opportunities.
The “Innovation at the Edge“-themed event aims to raise awareness on IT and help industry, academia and the community network and collaborate, Lockheed said Monday.
IT professionals and industry experts will discuss topics with attendees areas such as big data, cybersecurity, mobility, green IT, Microsoft Windows 8 and cloud computing.
Adam Lashinsky, senior editor at Fortune magazine; and Bill Rosemann, editor at Marvel and Legendary Comics, will speak at the event.
High school and college students and more than 60 local and national IT vendors and academic partners are slated to attend, Lockheed said.
The day will also feature a seminar on broadband services partnerships, a workshop on establishing a brand and a vendor exhibit to demonstrate technology and services.
