McAfee and Fujitsu Ltd. have partnered to deliver McAfee security software as a pre-installed system on Fujitsu‘s new computers.
A free trial version of Multi-Access software will be available to Fujitsu computer users in the U.S., Japan, Europe and Asia, according to a McAfee statement.
The software is designed to safeguard up to three Internet-enabled computers and mobile devices and has an annual subscription of $89.99 once the trial period ends.
“McAfee was quick to identify the need for security software capable of dealing with the sharp increase in the devices needing protection and has been providing multi-device security software since 2011,“ said Steve Petracca, senior vice president and general manager of McAfee’s consumer, mobile and small business unit.
McAfee Labs found that malware samples in the database exceeded 113 million during the fourth quarter of 2012.
It also saw a year-over-year 44-fold increase in mobile malware samples detected last year.
