John Caldwell, formerly president and chief digital officer at the National Geographic Society, has joined Neustar as vice president for media and new ventures.
He will be responsible for developing media strategies and managing a portfolio of data analytics services for an ecosystem of digital agencies, publishers, broadcasting companies and and cable television providers, Neustar said Wednesday.
He will also create businesses within the company and will report to Ted Prince, senior vice president for media and new ventures.
“John’s strong media background in digital operations and strategy, combined with a track record in forming strategic partnerships, will be essential as Neustar continues to expand its presence in this industry,” Prince said.
At National Geographic, Caldwell oversaw content distribution alliances as well as mobile, online and interactive publishing efforts.
He previously held executive positions at Revolution Health Group, AOL and the Coca-Cola Co.
