Parsons Corp. will design two new lateral slide-in bridges for the Michigan Department of Transportation under $7.4 million accelerated bridge construction programs.
The bridges are intended to support the Federal Highway Administration's Every Day Counts initiative, which aims to develop ways to reduce the amount of time required for delivering highway projects, Parsons said Thursday.
Mecosta County’s US-131 bridge, northbound and southbound over 3 Mile Road, will be replaced under a repaving project and the company will also replace the M-50 over I-96, in Kent County as part of an interchange reconstruction.
Parsons will also provide traffic services for the Kent County bridge replacement project.
