SAP Starts HANA Software Online Education Program; Bernd Welz Comments

SAP logo SAP has launched an online development training program that offers software developers courses on the HANA platform and aims to give them more knowledge of the product.

“Introduction to Software Development on SAP HANA“ includes lectures, self-tests, weekly assignments and online forums intended to provide programmers an overview of SAP HANA’s programming functions, the company said Tuesday.

The company will offer the course online six weeks starting May 27 and students will have four hours of study time per week.

“Participants can appreciate the flexibility to consume the lectures and do the exercises when and where it is most convenient,“ said Bernd Welz, SAP senior vice president and head of solution and knowledge packaging.

The course lectures can also be viewed on a mobile device or offline,” Welz added.

SAP plans to roll out the course to more than 1,300 universities worldwide through the SAP University Alliances program.

Training and certification courses for HANA are available online from the SAP Education organization and in training centers worldwide.
