Symantec, Webalo Form Mobile App Security Partnership; Chandra Rangan Comments - top government contractors - best government contracting event

SymantecLogoSymantec will add Webalo's cloud-based technology to the Symantec Sealed Program, which intends to secure mobile apps delivered to end users.

Webalo will embed its offerings with Symantec's offerings to encrypt, authenticate, secure and control its self-service mobility platform, Webalo said Tuesday.

Chandra Rangan, senior director for product marketing at Symantec's enterprise mobility group, said the program integrates Symantec's enterprise-grade protection into their partners' apps to help information technology organizations control their data without risk to customers' mobile devices.

Symantec will also Webalo's technology through its app center, aiming to secure mobile workforce productivity management console as part of its mobile management suite.

Users of Symantec app center can now use a single platform to secure their apps and devices running the iOS and Android operating systems.

Webalo will bring its Symantec-certified product to Apple's App Store and Google Play.
