TCS CEO Maurice Tose to Serve 3rd Term on FCC Interoperability Panel

Maurice Tose, chairman, president and CEO of TeleCommunication Systems, has been reappointed for a third term on the Federal Communications Commission‘s communications security, reliability and interoperability council.

The council is charged with making recommendations to the FCC on programs such as 911, Enhanced 911 and Next Generation 911, TCS said Monday.

Council members also advise the FCC on best practices and actions regarding broadband networks and Voice over Internet Protocol systems.

Tose’s new term lasts through 2015 and he will continue to work with industry representatives, government agencies and public interest groups.

As TCS’ leader, Tose has supported the company’s efforts to create technical offerings for wireless, VoIP and network-based 911 services.

He served as director of Defense Department programs before founding TCS.
