The SI Organization has joined a trade association that has represented satellite operators, service providers and manufacturers over the past 18 years.
The Satellite Industry Association also represents launch services providers and ground equipment suppliers as it aims to serve as the industry’s voice on policy, regulatory and legislative matters, the SI and the SIA said Tuesday.
Tom Sheridan, vice president of the SI’s national security space segment, said the company intends to communicate more frequently with commercial and civil space developers and operators through its membership.
“The traditional lines between commercial, civil and national security space will blur, as each sector supports the others,” Sherdian said.
“SIA is pleased to welcome the SI as part of our growing representation of satellite communications service providers and systems integrators,“ said Patricia Cooper, SIA President.
