VMware has sold certain assets of software platform WaveMaker to software engineering firm Pramati for an undisclosed amount nearly two years after VMware first acquired the platform.
WaveMaker aims to help developers build enterprise Java applications for cloud computing environments and different devices, Pramati said Thursday.
Pramati says WaveMaker has doubled over the last two years to 35,000 active monthly users.
“WaveMaker was designed to bring high-quality Java applications to market quickly and efficiently,“ said Charles Fan, VMware senior vice president of research and development, storage and application services.
Pramati’s portfolio of companies includes SocialTwist, a social referral marketing platform intended to help acquire and retain customers; and Imaginea, a technology services company that offers clients advisory, strategy, product development and implementation services.
